Have a good look at this. A big hit down the Staines Roller Disco, this got to #3 in the UK Charts back in 1983...
The lyrics reminded me of my parent's divorce.
The video is classic 1980s retro. The guitar riff "thang" is unforgettable... so how come this song has somehow escaped the "hits of the 80s" nostalgia-go-round canon? I don't know but take a trip back to the time of big hair and hats and women who look like rejects from a Robert Palmer vid:

Not everything Prince has done by any means was any good. But this top 10 hit, title track from the 1987 album of the same name is OK.

By the way, did you know all three members of the 1980s Holy Trinity of Pop ~ Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince ~ were born within 3 months of one another in 1958 in the Midwest of America...?
